Sarah's House

 Victorian Bed & Breakfast

1015 Main Street w Dresden, Ohio 43821

The photo at left is of Sarah’s House about 1940.  This was taken from the back of the house on Muskingum Ave.  There has since been a kitchen addition and a small porch entry added as shown in the picture at right.

The photo above left shows the 9’ tall doors that lead into the Library from the Parlor.  The Tall Case Clock at the left of the photo is just over 6’ tall.  The photo at right showcases the comfy Library with its over-filled shelves!  Innkeeper, Tina Miller, is an avid reader; while she packed boxes of books for their move to Dresden in 2005, her husband Steve carried the boxes to their garage.  After about 30 boxes he picked up another and said, “This box is a lot heavier than the others,” and Tina replied, “Those are the Reader’s Digest condensed books!”

This 150+ Year Old Grand Dame is ready to welcome you to a restful retreat!

The Pineapple Finials on our sign are there so you will know that we are a place of welcome and hospitality.

We hope to have the pleasure of your company soon!

Innkeeper, Steve Miller, was always fond of telling guests, “Go relax on one of the porches and watch both cars go by!” The porches are a wonderful place to spend time reading, swinging or praying.

There is a beautiful old church right across the street from Sarah’s House, the Dresden United Methodist, which was originally constructed in 1830.  Photos “Morning Mist” taken in Autumn 2010 and “God’s Promise” in late Spring 2011.
